Attention Small Businesses in Newport News

The City of Newport News and its Economic Development Authority have established a grant program, the COVID-19 Small Business Resiliency Grant, to support small businesses in Newport News. This grant will provide one-time financial assistance to eligible for-profit, small businesses in Newport News up to $5,000, excluding franchises and national chains.

Applications may be submitted beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2020, but we encourage you to download the application at the Department of Development’s website and gather supporting documentation as soon as possible. Grant funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
